UFO Sighting Near Hamilton, Georgia

This report came in this morning:
I feel silly doing this to be honest, but I definitely believe in what I saw and I am SURE it wasn't a helicopter or airplane.

Last night I was on my way home, from Hamilton, GA, I live off of GA Highway 315. I take Highway 27 and left work at 10pm on the dot. I was on the phone talking to a friend while driving since driving at night, along with fog, scares me. I took a right hand turn to get onto Hamilton Road/ US 27 and drove past one small farm that houses cows. Further up the road is another farm on the left that has a cow pasture (all on the left) with a batch of trees and then fields for horses (its a recovery/rescue farm). Across the street, on the right side, was a cleared field where the owners had just planted crops for the fall. I drive through this area everyday and have never seen a plane, helicopter, jet,or anything else. The speed limit goes from 55 to 45 and given the sparse fog and the glare of my headlights I slowed down to 45 before needed. I was rounding the bend and saw lights up in the sky. There were white and green blinking lights (in a circular shape) and the object was too low for it to be an airplane or helicopter. I set down my phone and was staring at it, going about 30 mph now to watch it, it was 10:17 by this time. I was staring at the object, and even though there were clouds in the sky (it had been raining earlier that night) this was definitely lower than all of the clouds. It was hovering between the fields and the lights were spinning. I grew up near a military base my whole life (I am now 20) and know planes and helos like the back of my hand. I was staring at the object and it was going from left to right. I looked away for a split second and when I looked back it was 50 feet from me, and then it was gone. I immediately brought my car back up to 65 mph and sped my way home. I doubt I'll be driving in Hamilton late at night again.

Amanda
Thank you Amanda! I saw a video somewhere a few days ago of a circular object with lights all around it. I'll see if I can dig it up. If I can find it, I'll post it here.

@ATS - Violent Encounter With An Alien Being

I have been reading this thread at ATS (Above Top Secret) for several days. I just can't stop reading it! There is much controversy over whether or not it's a hoax. The original poster is a respected member of the ATS community, so there are many regulars there who believe him. On the other hand, there are many who just find it too outrageous to believe...even for a contact story.

The man claims to have encountered and butchered a 6-foot "fishman" in his own bedroom while his wife looked on and his baby daughter slept.

Here's an excerpt:
Then a shadow flitted across the corner of the room, so i decided to lay still, as if it was a person in the room they were going to get the good news.

Then after about a minutes watching, this golden figure stepped towards the bed. It was appalling. I have never, ever in my life seen some thing so dreadful or absolutely horrific in my life.

It was 6 feet tall, well built, huge, and I mean huge eyes like a damn fish, and thats what its eniter being reminded me of. A two legged two armed fish / man type being. It was copper /bronze coloured, scaled and its clothing was a lighter golden colour and scaled too.
Read on to find out the injuries this man inflicted upon this alien creature and what happened next.

Then go HERE to read his wife's account of this horrific ordeal, complete with pictures of her husband's alleged injuries.

I am still not sure if I believe this really happened. At this time, the jury's still out.

Tell me what YOU think!

Here are recent UFO sightings as reported by Billy Booth at About.com:

Alabama-07-07-08-My wife and I were up early taking the dogs outside in our front yard. I was looking at the sky towards the southeast. I noticed a star-like object moving quickly towards the north. At first I thought satellite, but then I noticed another light right behind it. I pointed out the object to my wife. We watched it move to the north, then turned 90 degrees on its axis and faded into the distance quickly. It was moving very fast appeared very high up. source: www.mufon.com

Florida-07-07-08-10:05 PM-I was walking out of WalMart, and I saw a bubble... so I thought. At first it seemed to be about 25 feet off the ground and about 50 feet ahead of me. I kept walking toward it to where my car was, and as I stared at the bubble I wondered, "How would ONE lone bubble survive out here too long?" I walked, expecting to see it burst any second. It didn't. As I watched it, I then saw it wasn't a bubble at all, as it started to get almost above me. I stood next to the car.

It had been cloudy and drizzly, and there was a low canopy of clouds. I noticed it had two round looking lights and a lighter third. Nothing blinking. The lights were very clear, not like you'd expect headlights on a plane. I listened for sound and heard nothing. Then I suspected I was seeing something unusual. The lights were not REAL bright but were very pronounced without halo or atmospheric glaring quality. The bluish round lights seem to be directional like laser light travels, defined. Then as it started to go over Walmart, and by then I knew it was not a plane or chopper. I hoped it was a Black Triangle.

Then it slowed down very gradually, and before it had a chance to stop, it ascended straight up. It traveled upward very fast, not spinning or changing its relative position. It pierced the cloud cover, and was gone. source: www.mufon.com Maine-07-08-08-I was up later than usual and went out on my porch overlooking Sebago Lake to smoke a cigarette. I noticed what looked like an extremely bright star, but then realized it couldn't have been a star as I had never, ever, seen one this bright. I grabbed my binoculars and got a closer look. It was hard to see because it was night time, but I could see the object was like 2 white orbs on top of each other, and it was hovering stationary over the lake!

There was no noise. All of a sudden, a red orb appears directly below the white orb and starts flying around at incredible speed. I watched for several seconds in disbelief and then ran upstairs to grab my camera, which has a crappy video mode also. I was able to capture about 15 seconds, the limit on my camera, of the red orb. The white one wasn't easily visible against the backdrop of the stars.

I could tell the two objects were miles away, but the red orb moved across the lake in a split second. It must have been moving at thousands of miles per hour. Soon afterwards, the red orb appeared to go above the white, stationary orb and then disappeared from view. I was shocked. source: www.mufon.com

Michigan-07-07-08-My girlfriend and I saw what appeared to be fire floating through the sky at slow speed at a relatively high altitude. It ultimately disappeared into the clouds. It's hard to describe what I saw because I've never seen anything like it. I saw the exact same object 3 days earlier flying in the opposite direction at approximately the same time. At the time of the sighting, I was sitting in the back yard after arriving home from work. I noticed the object because of how bright it was. All of this was very confusing to the two of us because neither one of us had any idea of what we were looking at. source: www.mufon.com

Michigan-06-13-08-I saw a UFO during a thunderstorm, at about 00:45. It flew directly overhead at about 200 to 300 feet altitude. It was triangular with a bright, white light at each corner, black or dark gray in color. In the center, there appeared to be a circular opening with a dim, reddish-orange glow inside. This circular opening was surrounded by small white lights. In the center of the back edge there was a rectangular red light that didn't blink.

The back edge of the craft was perfectly straight from side to side. This craft was at least 100 feet wide. Form a distance of a mile, it looked like the top of a huge cell phone tower with bright white lights at each corner.

The lights were perpendicular, like cell phone antenna. It hovered about 200 to 300 feet above ground. As we passed it by, we noticed it was huge, way too big to be a cell phone tower, and something we had never seen before. I drove less than two miles, dropped off my passenger at John's Bar, and turned around. On the way back it flew directly overhead. This event was witnessed on M-15 between Bay City and Munger Michigan near Russel Road. source: www.mufon.com

30 Creepiest Trees On Earth [pics]

This is pretty cool if you're like me and ya like creepy stuff.

If you are a horror movie buff, you’ve certainly noticed the liberal use of trees to set the mood. Halloween is hardly complete without the image of a moon-lit and fog-laden tree. However, some trees have been molded by Mother Nature into specters of their own. Scary, frightening, or downright weird, the trees we’ve amassed in this collection will leave you wondering if Mother Nature herself digested some magic mushrooms.

Police investigate Hounslow UFOs

Police have attempted to quash reports of widespread UFO sightings among baffled residents from Bedfont to Twickenham by insisting the mysterious lights were just entertainment at a party.

Since our initial article last week, describing the three strange lights spotted by Bedfont gran Lynne Martin, calls have flooded into the Chronicle office from all over the borough and beyond, with one teen bringing us video footage of a previous identical sighting - click here to watch it.

Dozens of callers claim to have seen the mysterious lights hovering in the night sky on Sunday, July 6, and they all insist there were no beams linking them to the ground.

Gulsheen Kaur, of Jersey Road, Hounslow, said: "My husband and I didn't think anything of it at first we just assumed it was a spotlight. But later we realised there had been no beam and we got scared."

And over in Twickenham 68-year-old Lesley Butler insisted: "They looked like balloons, with no middle darting about. They definitely weren't laser lights, or aircraft and there was no beam."

After receiving a number of calls from bewildered members of the public Met Police decided to investigate.

A spokeswoman said: "Members of the public called police from approximately 11pm to reports of numerous lights in the sky in the west London area of the city. Police tracked the lights to a birthday celebration in the Bedfont area."

But these claims are unlikely to deter hardcore UFO enthusiasts who are convinced that what they saw was not of
this earth.

Susan Ward, 47, of Sandalwood Road, Feltham, said: "I don't care what they say. I've seen searchlights and I know this wasn't coming from the ground."

Latest UFO Sightings For July 7, 2008

California-06-14-08-My daughter was sitting at the computer. Our front door was open due to the warm weather. She looked out the doorway and noticed something falling from the sky. At first she thought it was a shooting star, but it lasted far too long. She then said, "Do you see that?" and pointed at the sky through the door.

My husband then looked and saw the object. His comment was that it looked like the moon was falling. My daughter said it first flashed green lights, then glowed red, like a meteor entering the atmosphere. Then it smoked, glowed green again, then fire balled. It finally dropped down between two trees to the northwest of our house. The object was so large that she expected to hear or feel a large boom when it actually landed, but we didn't hear or feel anything.

Did anyone else report this sighting? We do live to the southeast of Camp Pendleton, but have never seen anything like this. source: www.mufon.com

Delaware-06-19-08-I woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning, then I saw two lights on the sky. I first realize the two lights as helicopters, but when I looked at them a few moments, I couldn't exactly define it as human objects. Later, I tried to identify which object they could be. When I looked at them closer, they blinked in an evenly way.

I wanted to record the objects with a camera, but at first I didn't know exactly, if they were UFOs. In the end it was too late. They flew away and left a bright gleaming veil on the sky. I didn't actually know if there were unknowing flying objects at all, but one thing I can say. If these weren't human produced flying objects, what else can they be? source: www.mufon.com

Illinois-06-07-08-On Saturday, at 9:22 PM, I saw a huge, white orb brighter than the moon, head directly over my house in a southeastern direction. The orb was silent-it moved slowly and smoothly. It was at a pretty high altitude, so the size of this thing was astonishing. I reported the sighting to MUFON and the National UFO Reporting Center. Ever since that night, I watched the same areas of the sky… hoping I would see it again.

I did see it again, AT NIGHT, on June 17, 2008, at 10:15 PM. I saw what I thought was a star just light up so brightly, and move slowly downward. It hovered for a couple of seconds, and I could see the shape of the craft this time. It was definitely triangular. The light that came off lit up the sky all around it, like an electrical charge, and the color of the beam was a very spectacular bright, bluish-white.

After it hovered, it turned and took off at an absolutely incredible rate of speed, and followed a commercial flight that was heading due east. It easily caught up to the flight, and passed it up as if it were standing still. I have seen some weird things up in the sky, but this was by far the most unexplainable thing I have ever seen. source: http://ufos.about.com

Texas-03-25-08-Wichita Falls-I saw, what appeared to be, two flying saucers around 8:20 PM in the evening. I had just come home and was starting to pet my dogs, through the gate in the backyard... then I noticed a large light in the eastern sky and as I continued to look at it, it starting moving erratically up and down, sideways and around.

Then I knew I was seeing something I had only heard about... then, the light turned into two separate flying vehicles, at first I could only see the "V" shape of lights in the front, which I suppose is where the pilots would sit, but the rest of the UFO was invisible. About that time, I decided it was some kind of secret military air craft, since we have Sheppard AFB here, the second vehicle broke formation, turned to a horizontal position, and turned its lights on. Then I could see that the craft was dome shaped, with white light coming out through windows at the top, and there were moving clockwise lights around the side. source: http://ufos.about.com

Wisconsin-06-21-08-It was around 1:00 AM. I was on my phone in my driveway when I looked up and saw a object that at first glance appeared to be an aircraft, but after looking for awhile, it was definitely not an airplane of any kind. It was a triangular-shaped object, a little off in the distance, but it still appeared to be huge in size. It made NO sound whatsoever. None. I've never seen anything like it.

The blinking lights (one in front and two bigger ones in back) were incredibly bright, so bright my eyes had to adjust and refocus every time they blinked, and I could follow its progress as it seemed to float away off into the distance for some ten minutes, until the trees blocked it out. It had no red or green lights that an aircraft would have, just three extremely bright white lights. I was dumbfounded, and tried to grab the binoculars from inside the house but was unable to find them. I was neither tired nor under the influence of alcohol. source: www.mufon.com

Pluto's Identity Crisis Hits Classrooms

Pluto was once a planet. Then a dwarf planet. And, as of this month, a plutoid.

The fall from grace has teachers, parents and educational publishers struggling to keep up, while kids remain loyal to their favorite, the ninth planet. Underscore "planet."

On June 11, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) announced Pluto should now be called a "plutoid," two years after the organization voted to demote Pluto to "dwarf planet" status.

Meanwhile, many kids are nearly certain Pluto is still a planet.

"I think it's a planet. But me and my friends, we talk about it sometimes and we go back and forth," said Natalie Browning, 9, sitting in a park in Manhattan with her family.

"Right now, I'm not 100 percent. I'm just 75 percent" sure that Pluto is a planet, she added.

On this Day: UFO Sighted in Roswell, N.M.

On July 7, 1947, William Brazel reported seeing a UFO at his New Mexico ranch, sparking widespread public rumors about aliens and a U.S. government cover-up.

William “Mac” Brazel said he stared in awe as a massive, shining object cut through the muggy summer sky above his ranch in Roswell, N.M. He alerted local sheriff George Wilcox, and within hours the Roswell Army Air Field announced that it had come into possession of “a flying saucer.”

The Roswell incident set off a wave of public suspicion about the existence of extraterrestrial life forms.

A 1947 Federal Bureau of Investigation report stated that the alleged flying saucer had in fact been a radar-tracking balloon used by the military. However, the public was not convinced and accused the government of lying to cover up its retrieval of an alien spacecraft.

Area 51, a military base in Nevada, became a hot spot for controversy when people suggested that it was home to secret government operations.

In 1984 a series of false documents, known as the Majestic Twelve papers, began to surface, claiming that the government was involved in a top-secret alien conspiracy.

After a General Accounting Office inquiry in 1995, the Secretary of the Air Force said that the debris found in 1947 was remnants from the U.S. military’s Project Mogul, not pieces of alien spacecraft. The Air Force also explained that supposed “alien bodies” found near Roswell were in fact airmen who died in training accidents.

Although the Roswell incident has been largely dismissed as false, its excitement and mystery have inspired movies and video games.
