Here are the latest UFO sightings as reported to Billy Booth at UFOs/Aliens at About.com.

Florida-01-11-08-Tonight I noticed lights in the sky located over the parking area of my condo complex. They were white in color and were moving in a roughly circular pattern. I thought it strange that they could not be traced to a source, as would spot lights originating from a source on the ground or from the sky such as those from a helicopter.

The lights numbered around six to ten at any given time and remained in a group moving in a northeasterly direction. I attempted to follow them on foot and watched as they settled over a nearby complex. The lights were well above the tree line but much lower than an airplane and were completely silent. I watched for at least thirty minutes-long enough to discern an approximate figure eight pattern and a tendency for the lights to congregate toward the east and then seem to break off in pairs that moved in unison.

They were not very bright or intense but were clearly visible. The lights stayed over the same location for about twenty minutes then gradually moved to the east. I went inside at this point. Texas-01-04-Austin-My son and I were returning home last Friday, early evening, about 4:30 PM. We were about one mile north of Bastrop on Highway 95 and I was watching some large birds in the eastern horizon when suddenly a large oblong disc appeared in the distance.

I would guess its size to be 80 to 90 % of what the moon appears in the sky. It was tipped on about a 45 degree angle and stayed in that position for several seconds and then it seemed to rotate to form a perfectly round object. Kazakhstan-01-08-PAVLODAR. (Interfax)-An unidentified flying object might have fallen in the Belaya river in the May district in the Pavlodar region, northern Kazakhstan, a source with the regional emergency situations department told Interfax referring to an eyewitness.

The chief of a local police department saw a shining, flying object falling in the river in the early hours of January 5, the source said, adding that the policeman "reported about it to higher authorities."

According to the emergency situations department, divers examined a 15-meter air hole and officers of the local sanitary and epidemic office took water samples.

"Divers plunged four times, but no objects were found. Water samples are normal," the department said.

Meanwhile, Lyubov Rybalko, a Ufologist and the head of the Asur public organization, told Interfax that an UFO cannot fall. They "can either land or pass through the Earth like through air." Norway-12-31-07-On New Year's Eve, my family and I saw an orange glowing orb in the sky, southwest of the city of Honefoss in Norway. It was about 10 to 5 minutes until midnight and the sky was clear. This was certainly not a rocket, plane or helicopter, as it moved at a steady speed in a fixed manner.

It looked as if it was bobbing up and down at certain times. We watched it for about 10 minutes before it flew over, gained speed, and disappeared in the distance. We couldn't hear any sound from any engine or anything similar. source: http://ufos.about.com

Thailand-Date Unknown-I was in Thailand where I was on a two week holiday. We visited Sukothoi, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I took these photographs of the Buddha. While there I heard a noise in the sky which was like a low humming. The two photographs were taken two seconds apart. The first shows nothing in the sky. The second shows a bright object.

This is not a planet such as Venus or stars,and neither is their any kind of trail which would indicate a bright meteorite. I do not believe that it is a blemish on the film as I did hear a noise in the sky at the time. Therefore, because of its green triangular shape, it is some kind of UFO. NASA Probe, Spirit, Sends Back Photo Of A Native Martian?

I was hangin' out at Above Top Secret, and ran across a thread about this story at Daily Mail. What conclusions do you draw from this photo?

Perched on a rock, she could be waiting for a bus.

But if so, she could be in for an awfully long wait.

This photo of what looks remarkably like a female figure with her arm outstretched, was taken on Mars.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it has set the Internet abuzz with claims that there really is life on the red planet.

Others may well feel that it is simply an optical illusion caused by a landscape.

The image was among many sent back to Earth by Spirit, Nasa's Mars explorer vehicle which landed there four years ago.

Initial inspections revealed nothing unusual, but closer examination by amateur astronomers has thrown up this intriguing picture.

Painstaking: Space enthusiasts spent four years analysing this image, which on much closer inspection shows the 'alien'

As one enthusiast put it on a website: "These pictures are amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what appears to be a naked alien running around on Mars."

Another, dismissing cynicism about the somewhat stony look of the "alien", wrote: "If you show me another rock in another photo from Mars, or Earth, that naturally looks like that, I will reconsider."

They Sure Make 'Em BIG In Texas!

The entire internet is abuzz with news of the hottest UFO sighting since The Phoenix Lights back in 1997. A gigantic craft (one mile long and half a mile wide) was spotted on January 14th by dozens of witnesses in a small Texas town of Stephenville. I may as well chime in with my two cents. I first heard about this sighting at Godlike Productions, where I like to hang out to get the best alternative news FIRST.

Initially, I was shocked that the report came from the Associated Press. This kind of story hardly ever hits the mainstream media. But with a craft that size, there's just no way this could stay buried. However, I do wonder what kind of "official story" the government will come up with this time. I'm sure it will be along the same lines as the Chicago O'Hare and the Phoenix Lights UFO sightings. They will give some "logical explanation," (that won't really be very logical), and then try and sweep it under the rug. And, sadly they will probably succeed.

In another report by Jennifer Luz of San Angelo LIVE!, Steve Hudgeons, assistant state director for the Mutual UFO Network of Texas, visited Stephenville, Texas, Saturday, and after interviewing many of the locals there, he maintains the Stephenville UFO sighting has received national media attention because of the credibility of witnesses to the event. “Especially with [Constable Lee Roy Gaitan],” Hudgeons says. “His credibility goes a long way, and I believe that’s the key to the whole thing."

Before this is all neatly covered up, I urge you to watch the following videos of the CNN program, "Larry King Live," which aired last Friday night, January 18, 2008. The witnesses to this extraordinary event got their chance to speak out and give testimony to what they saw on a bona fide mainstream news channel. Take it for what it's worth. I apologize that it's in four parts, but I couldn't find another copy that wasn't.

If this is some kind of government craft, where did it go? And where are they hiding it now? If it's of extraterrestrial origin, is it a "mother ship" and is it still around, perhaps orbiting our moon? I would really like answers, (and TRUTHFUL ones), but just like any other UFO sighting, I know I won't get any. You will see in the video that some of the witnesses claim that Air Force fighter jets were "chasing" the gigantic low-flying object! If that is true, then you tell me...what was it, and WHERE IS IT NOW?

Recent UFO Sightings

Here are the latest UFO sightings as reported to Billy Booth at his UFO/Aliens website.

New Hampshire-12-29-07, at 10:45 PM, A light beam resembling a car light beam ( it was a broad band of light) was seen entering a cloud that was at the level of Orion's Belt in the southeastern sky. There was no craft seen, nor any noise heard. The azimuth was about 160 degrees and the height was over 20,000 feet as confirmed by the Pease International Airport operation with a cloud cover of 25,000 feet that was broken. There was no sound at any time. Neither were there any red or green lights that shone at any time during the sighting nor was there any noise. (Maybe because of the height.)

The light entered the cloud after traveling about the size of a pea at arm's length. As it neared the cloud, the witness observed the light beam entering the cloud and never saw it again as it traveled into the cloud. His conversation with Pease Base Operations Officer confirmed hisfacts and figures and helped him contact the USWX.com weather information center to confirm these facts which told him that they had no incoming aircraft at that time of night nor did he know of any radar confirmation of the object. Canada-12-26-07-On December 26, 2007, at about 5:30 PM, the witness and his wife saw a dark object spiraling towards the ground near the horizon. They grabbed their video camera and began filming, and what was caught on film is remarkable. A blackish object giving off "smoke" was seen, which the witnesses likened to a "plane in trouble."

The actual object was difficult to see, but the witness thought it was shaped like a ball. It was descending at a shallow angle, in a corkscrew motion, moving away from the witnesses, toward the west. Eventually, a long black contrail was formed. Canada-12-21-07-This second Canadian case occurred at 6:05 PM local time. A helicopter pilot was flying near Halifax when he saw a bright white light flying at a much higher altitude. It was in sight for about five minutes.

What's most intriguing about this case is that when the helicopter pilot notified the nearby control tower, they contacted NORAD, who confirmed that they painted the helicopter as well as a "possible UFO" at the location and direction indicated by the pilot, but at 6:18 PM local and fading from radar at 6:22 PM- source: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/canufo/

Ibiza-12-31-07-On New Year's Eve I was working as a chauffer in Ibiza with a friend. Neither of us had taken alcohol due to the nature of our job. At exactly midnight, we stood outside the Blue Marlin Restaurant (SW coast on the Island of Ibiza) and looked northerly. From the distance appeared a yellow/orange ball-shaped object. It traveled at a constant speed and on a constant trajectory above Blue Marlin and beyond downwards towards the sea, near to Es Vedera (a highly magnetic rock formation) and disappeared. During its flight path, the shape changed and it appeared to have a ring around it similar to the planet Jupiter. There was no sound.

The sky was clear: there were no clouds and no wind. There was a small amount of light pollution from one light in the car park. Approximately 12 minutes later and on exactly the same line of trajectory, the same bright yellow/orange light appeared. It moved along the same pathway and then seemed to rise upwards, fading until it disappeared completely. We tried to use a phone camera to pick up this image but it was not sensitive enough to capture anything meaningful.

It was almost impossible to gauge how far away it was and therefore at what speed it was traveling. We explored most of the obvious explanations and could not apply logic to this sighting. I send these details for your records and am curious to know if anyone else observed this object. Sweden-01-01-08-I can tell you that I and about 6-7 other people had a UFO sighting this New Year's Eve at 00:00, from my balconies up on the 10th floor. I have two balconies, one facing west (Copenhagen), and one facing central Malmo. It wasn't fireworks we saw, it was multiple orange/yellow orbs/spheres of light (10-15 of them) flying in formation from Copenhagen, Denmark to Malmo, Sweden. The sighting lasted about 10-15 minutes and some of the orbs were stationary over central Malmo while most of them were moving fast (some of them very fast). Some just seemed to vanish in thin air to reappear moments later (could be clouds covering them, but it wasn't very cloudy)

Two of the orbs went quite slow (together in "formation"), then one of them stopped completely and hovered for a couple of seconds, shot to the skies vertically (above the clouds and out of sight), the second one followed the first one slowly (all the way above the clouds). This was witnessed by at least 4-5 people and only one or maybe two (the boyfriend had to agree with his girlfriend) of them thought it was something other than a UFO/UAP.-source: www.mufon.com

Clearwater, Kansas-1966-I experienced a very unusual sighting when I was 18 years old and now am much older. I was traveling with my brother and mother around Clearwater, Kansas, in October 1966. It was around 8:00 PM. as we went over the railroad tracks when we observed an object hovering over the tracks. It flew over our car and stopped in midair and shown these extremely bright lights into the car. It made no noise. My brother stopped the car and both my mother and brother just stared at it. They seemed mesmerized by it and I told my brother, "Don't stare, just go."

Suddenly the lights went out and it flew straight up in the air and disappeared very quickly. I still try to make sense of what happened that night. I will never forget this and like to read about others who have experienced similar incidences. Today I live in Arizona and remember the lights of Phoenix in 1997 and just read about the sighting around Casa Grande (not far from where I live) in the past week. Missouri-12-25-Witness was sitting in his kitchen, and looking at the sky through his vertical blinds and noticed a bright red, disc-shaped object northeast of his house. He thought at first how beautiful it was, it being on Christmas Day. The disc-shaped object was not clearly defined-it had blurry edges to it. The best way he could describe the light was to brake lights on a vehicle. The object was only visible for a brief time. Cherry Hill-NJ-November, 2007-This sighting happened last month. I had driven over to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, to visit my son. It was a windy, cloudy, rainy day. I stayed until about 10:00 PM. I hurried back to my car, trying to get out of the cold wind. I got to my car and as I was opening the door, I noticed this big reddish-orangish ball traveling in the sky from across the road.

It was headed towards where I had parked my car. It was the same as watching an airplane fly over head. I stood there watching this big, burning-looking red-orange ball pass overhead. It made no sound at all. As it traveled through the dark clouds, it really lit them up. I watched this ball travel on a steady path until it was out of my eyesight. New York-12-25-Long Island-The witness claims that his sighting is recurring. When the skies are clear, witness can see an aerial object cruising overhead. On Christmas Day, he went outside to have a smoke about 2:00 PM. He saw this unknown object again for about 20 seconds, and then another one about an hour later. He is now equipped with a camera and soon hopes to capture these objects on film. He is certain that the unknown flying object is not an airplane or other everyday object. Philadelphia-PA-I would like to share two UFO sightings that I had. The first occurred when I was 12 years old. It was on a beautiful, bright and sunny Saturday morning. I was walking my dog through the park heading for my favorite spot, the local train tressel. When I arrived at the tressel, I stopped in my tracks. Hovering above the tressel was this big, very silvery shining cylinder.

I could see it as I approached the tressel, but at the time, I thought it was something that was built onto some part of the tressel. It hovered not too far above the tressel. It made no sound at all and it hung motionless in the sky. At the very bottom of it was this huge white light that was flashing what looked like a Morse Code-type message. I starred at it for what at the time seemed like forever until it began to rise upward steadily and quickly until it was gone. I remembered my dog and set off to find her. Changes in the Sun’s Surface to Bring Next Climate Change

January 2, 2008

Today, the Space and Science Research Center, (SSRC) in Orlando, Florida announces that it has confirmed the recent web announcement of NASA solar physicists that there are substantial changes occurring in the sun’s surface. The SSRC has further researched these changes and has concluded they will bring about the next climate change to one of a long lasting cold era.

Today, Director of the SSRC, John Casey has reaffirmed earlier research he led that independently discovered the sun’s changes are the result of a family of cycles that bring about climate shifts from cold climate to warm and back again.

“We today confirm the recent announcement by NASA that there are historic and important changes taking place on the sun’s surface. This will have only one outcome - a new climate change is coming that will bring an extended period of deep cold to the planet. This is not however a unique event for the planet although it is critically important news to this and the next generations. It is but the normal sequence of alternating climate changes that has been going on for thousands of years. Further according to our research, this series of solar cycles are so predictable that they can be used to roughly forecast the next series of climate changes many decades in advance. I have verified the accuracy of these cycles’ behavior over the last 1,100 years relative to temperatures on Earth, to well over 90%.”

As to what these changes are Casey says, “The sun’s surface flows have slowed dramatically as NASA has indicated. This process of surface movement, what NASA calls the “conveyor belt” essentially sweeps up old sunspots and deposits new ones. NASA’s studies have found that when the surface movement slows down, sunspot counts drop significantly. All records of sunspot counts and other proxies of solar activity going back 6,000 years clearly validates our own findings that when we have sunspot counts lower then 50 it means only one thing - an intense cold climate, globally. NASA says the solar cycle 25, the one after the next that starts this spring will be at 50 or lower. The general opinion of the SSRC scientists is that it could begin even sooner within 3 years with the next solar cycle 24. What we are saying today is that my own research and that of the other scientists at the SSRC verifies that NASA is right about one thing – a solar cycle of 50 or lower is headed our way. With this next solar minimum predicted by NASA, what I call a “solar hibernation,” the SSRC forecasts a much colder Earth just as it has transpired before for thousands of years.
If NASA is the more accurate on the schedule, then we may see even warmer temperatures before the bottom falls out. If the SSRC and other scientists around the world are correct then we have only a few years to prepare before 20-30 years of lasting and possibly dangerous cold arrive.”

When asked about what this will mean to the average person on the street, Casey was firm. “The last time this particular cycle regenerated was over 200 years ago. I call it the “Bi-Centennial Cycle” solar cycle. It took place between 1793 and 1830, the so-called Dalton Minimum, a period of extreme cold that resulted in what historian John D. Post called the ‘last great subsistence crisis.’ With that cold came massive crops losses, food riots, famine and disease. I believe this next climate change will be much stronger and has the potential to once more cause widespread crop losses globally with the resultant ill effects. The key difference for this next Bi-Centennial Cycle’s impact versus the last is that we will have over 8 billion mouths to feed in the next coldest years where as we had only 1 billion the last time. Among other effects like social and economic disruption, we are facing the real prospect of the ‘perfect storm of global food shortages’ in the next climate change. In answer to the question, everyone on the street will be affected.”

Given the importance of the next climate change Casey was asked whether the government has been notified. “Yes, as soon as my research revealed these solar cycles and the prediction of the coming cold era with the next climate change, I notified all the key offices in the Bush administration including both parties in the Senate and House science committees as well as most of the nation’s media outlets. Unfortunately, because of the intensity of coverage of the UN IPCC and man made global warming during 2007, the full story about climate change is very slow in getting told. These changes in the sun have begun. They are unstoppable. With the word finally starting to get out about the next climate change, hopefully we will have time to prepare. Right now, the newly organized SSRC is the leading independent research center in the US and possibly worldwide, that is focused on the next climate change. Some of the world’s brightest scientists, also experts in solar physics and the next climate change have joined with me. In the meantime we will do our best to spread the word along with NASA and others who can see what is about to take place for the Earth’s climate. Soon, I believe this will be recognized as the most important climate story of this century.”
