Here are the latest UFO sightings as reported by Billy Booth at UFOs/Aliens:

California-09-05-Oakland-The witness states that: While driving along our famous 880 freeway, in Oakland where I have observed most of my freeway sightings, I noticed a sparkling glint in the hot, hazy white bright, mid-morning sky. It was about 12:20 PM. The glint was very bright, and that immediately attracted my attention.

We were passing trees and buildings, which hampered my view of the object. With the first direct view, I saw a clear glass, egg-shaped vehicle, sort of float flying, not really moving, mostly sitting there, at about Cessna level, in the sky.

I could tell it was turning the way the Sun glinted off the different smooth areas of it. It looked like a flying opal, encased in a glass shell, or crystal which is finer than glass, or diamond, because the outside covering had a liquid sparkle to its glassiness.

It appeared to have a luminous 'filling' of opalescent hot pink, hot white to yellow, and rose. While trying to get a better look, a tall tree-top tip blocked it from my view for not more than a mere second or two, and just that quickly 'the egg jewel' vehicle was gone! PLINK! California-08-03-Our witness describes his sighting to us: I was recently on vacation at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Hogan Lake. One August afternoon I was floating in my boat just enjoying the afternoon sky when something caught my eye. It was some type of aircraft, most likely military.

It was wedge-shaped in appearance from what I saw. I was unable to tell its size or altitude. I am 60 % deaf so I did not hear any sound, but when a commercial jet does over fly that lake, if I am floating with engine off and no boats are making noise, I can just barely hear the engines. The picture was taken with a digital Kodak Easy Share camera -see photograph at top right.

The aircraft slowed to a stand still, made a few barrel rolls, accelerated to a speed about the same as when you see an airliner overhead. I was unable to guess its altitude, but I think it was greater than 10,000 feet.

It was not an F-117 or B-2. No exhaust was visible. I only took one photo-I only observed it for about 5 minutes, to me it was unremarkable, I have seen many military craft like the Boeing Bird of Prey.

I only now decided to report it because I was flicking through my vacation pictures and remembered about the day I saw the UFO. Now I use the term UFO, as it should be, this aircraft to me was Unidentified. UFO to me does not mean alien spaceship. I am sure this was a U.S. military craft. source: www.mufon.com

New Mexico-07-09-The witness says that: I was outside facing the west in the early morning darkness when I saw an object move across the sky from south to north. It is impossible to judge the size of this object because I didn't have a frame of reference for depth of field. It did give me a feeling of impossibly large, however. It was also traveling at a speed that would be impossibly fast as far as what aircraft known to me would be able to travel. It went from horizon to horizon in six to eight seconds.

It was football-shaped or oval on the horizontal and had no noticeable trail behind it nor tail of any kind. If I were to try to describe the size I would have to say that it appeared about the size of the way we would see the full moon only in the oval shape. It was very bright blue-indigo in color with a slight fringe of a lighter almost cream color on its perimeter and was obviously emitting it's own light and was not a reflection of any kind. As it passed rather low in the western sky from my observation point in southern New Mexico it seemed to have a path that followed the curvature of the earth and not rising in altitude nor was it falling like a meteor might be expected to do when entering the earth's atmosphere. Australia-Sept-2007-Perth-Hi, my name is T. S. This incident didn't happen to me, rather my brother, so I'm slightly sketchy on the details but let me stress the fact that he is just not someone who'd lie about this kind of thing, I'm sure he saw what he says he did. We live in Perth, Western Australia.

He was driving home the other night at about 11 PM when he noticed an object moving in the sky in front of him (it looked like a slightly bigger than usual star) and then all of a sudden he said it flashed a really bright green, lighting up the whole sky for a split second, and then disappeared.

Naturally he slammed on the breaks in surprise and tried to get another look but it was long gone. I'd be very interested to know if anyone else saw this. United Kingdom-09-01-Banbury, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom-The witness states: On Saturday, September 1, at approximately 22:30 hours, I let my dog out into the garden and noticed four balls of red light moving slowly across the sky. My initial reaction was that they were aircraft and then I realized the lights were not flashing and there was no engine noise. These four lights continued to move across the sky in an easterly direction and directly overhead. Six more lights appeared, coming from the north west. They were flying in formation.

During the next 10 to 15 minutes lights in groups of threes and fours continued to appear in the north west and traveled towards the east. The last light was traveling on his own. Once over the buildings, they disappeared. In all, I counted 21 balls of red light.

I couldn't say what height they were flying at but definitely a lot lower than an aircraft I saw in the sky. They were not in a hurry either-as I say the whole episode took about 10 to 15 minutes to happen. It was a clear night with a starry sky. Japan-09-07-An about.com reader sent this report-I saw it between 6:00-6.15 AM on 7 September 2007 at Singapore. It was still dark. I was along the road outside my house when I gazed up into the sky to appreciate the clear starry night before sunrise. It will be an unforgettable day of my life. I actually saw something, which is moving much faster than a plane, ''gliding'' across the sky!

It was definitely not a slow moving shooting star because it actually came to a stop HANGING ON AIR for a few minutes before it actually moved in a semi-circle like direction. I called up my girlfriend but she couldn't spot it, but 2 Bangladesh construction workers heading for work walking next to me saw it too.

It was definitely not a plane because if unnoticed, it will be just like a extremely dim light star. It took that thing less than 5 seconds to glide pass the stars (vertical 3 stars in a row) before coming to a stop. As I live there, I know that planes and helicopters have never flown past that area-they only fly past a certain route which is very far away from what I saw today. Villagers Fall Ill After Fireball Hits Peru

Radio reports that fumes from meteorite crater have sickened 600

A fireball fell from the sky and slammed into southern Peru over the weekend, creating a huge crater that emitted a sickeningly smelly gas, local authorities said. More than 600 villagers fell ill, the Peruvian radio network RPP reported Tuesday.

Video reports from the scene, near the remote Andean village of Carancas along Peru's border with Bolivia, showed what appeared to be a 100-foot-wide (30-meter-wide), 20-foot-deep (6-meter-deep) impact crater with a bubbling pool of water at the bottom.

Authorities said that the crater was made Saturday by a falling meteorite. Agence France Presse quoted a local official, Marco Limache, as saying that "boiling water started coming out of the crater, and particles of rock and cinders were found nearby."

Limache told RPP that the gases emanating from the crater caused nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches and stomach pain — so much so that authorities were considering calling a state of emergency. The newspaper La Republica reported that seven policemen became ill and were taken to a hospital.

Villagers decided not to drink the water in the area because they regarded it as contaminated in the wake of the impact, RPP reported. Experts from Peru's Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute, or Ingemmet, were reportedly on their way to the village in the country's Desaguadero region to evaluate the health risk.

If the impact was caused by a meteorite, sulfur or other elements in the space rock may have reacted with the ground water to produce noxious fumes.

RPP said 600 people were affected in one way or another. Jorge Lopez, health director in the Puno region, told Reuters that his team examined about 100 people who suffered vomiting and headaches. “People are scared,” he said.

“We ourselves went near the crater, and now we’ve got irritated throats and itching noses,” Lopez said.

Latest UFO Sightings

California-08-30- I received this report through my personal e-mail. The witness states: I live in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Last night, August 30, when it started to get dark my daughter was in the backyard with two younger cousins and they spotted a light that moved in circles and then it would appear to be bouncing. We kept watching it for over 30 minutes and it keep moving up and then down slowly and then in circles.

We got out our binoculars and keep watching it. Have you received any other reports of this? I am very curious of what this could have been. Mary Greene-source: e-mail

California-08-31-Witnesses, while driving to Sacramento, saw a strange object in the skies that had multiple colored lights, and appeared to be disc-shaped. Other motorists were pulled off to the side of the road, watching the UFO on I-680 North. Several people were seen taking photographs of the UFO. The witnesses thought at first they were seeing a blimp, because of its slow movement, and hovering at times. The object maintained its postion for a startling 20 minutes, before it slowly left the area at a great speed, which precluded any chance of it being a blimp. source: www.mufon.com

Colorado-08-31-A UFO was seen by the reporter and two neighbors. The UFO was a metallic-blue and silver color. It moved silently near their apartment. The reporter of the sighting was inside when the object first appeared, but hearing the neighbors loud voices, he ran outside. He states that the UFO was the "strangest thing he ever saw." He states that the object "floated" past their location. The two neighbors drew sketches of the object, and several photographs were taken by our reporter. Indiana-09-01-Our witness gives this account of a sighting: I took the dog out for the last time tonight. I was looking at Polaris and out of nowhere saw what appeared to me to be a light streaking across the sky from South to North. It was definitely faster than a plane. It was brighter than any shooting star I've EVER seen. And it was also slower than any shooting star I've seen. I was standing on the deck in front of my house and it was NNE at approximately a 45-50 degree angle. My first thought was of videos of the Apollo or Shuttle spacecraft returning. Pennsylvania-09-01-Unknown objects were hovering up and down and spinning very fast-enough to leave trails of light, states our witness. They were shooting across the sky, but there was no sound. They would send beams to each other. They were spinning and hovering at the same time. There was a green light illuminating off the top of one of them. It looked like a fireball because the whole thing was illuminating. One of the other objects was changing color from blue to white to green, but it was still spinning and hovering. At times, it would stop illuminating and show a bright white light, then the entire thing would illuminate again.

Australia-08-29-Our witness tells us that: Tonight a friend and I from Newcastle, Australia, saw the strangest thing sitting in the southern sky. This looked different from the stars but we are not sure what it is? My friend described it "like a squid?"

California-08-26-07-2:30 AM-I received the following sighting report from one of our readers. In the city of Lakewood on a cloudy night, a blinking light appeared. California-mid 80s-I received the following report from one of our readers.

Back in the mid 80s, my brother-in-law worked part time for a small company that delivered the "Wall-street Journal" to small businesses. The deliveries were done at night with him returning home around 7 AM. Since he was working both days and nights, once in a while I would help him out by running his delivery route for him, usually on Friday nights so he and my sister could have some time for themselves.

At the time we all lived in the Northern California town of Santa Rosa, located in Sonoma county. The delivery route however, was northeast of there in Lake County. Lake County is about an hour or so away from Santa Rosa, through Napa County and up over Mt. St. Helena... A twisty-windy mountain drive.

On this particular night my wife's brother (Jim) decided to go with me and give me a hand. The delivery went well and we were on our way back home. Just as you come off the mountain there is an immediate right turn to get us back home, I missed it, and after a few minutes I realized what happened and decided to continue to the next road and then double back that way. We were now in Napa County, and near the small town of Calistoga.

The road was a small, one lane in each direction country road. On the left was a hill and on the right was flat field with a few small trees. We were now heading west, it was still dark but heading towards dawn very swiftly. As we drove I noticed that a farmer was working in the field as I saw two bright headlights from his tractor. As I drove and watched the farmer, I noticed that he was approaching one of those small trees, as the silhouette of the tree was clearly seen as the headlights shone through it.

As the tractor got closer to the tree, it stopped, and to our amazement the lights began to rise up. Just as they began to raise they went out... I immediately hit the brakes and came to a complete stop. Jim and I jumped out and ran to the back of the car. By this time the sky was just beginning to lighten up and made a perfect background for what we were about to witness.

The object was moving very slowly and cruising at about thirty or thirty-five feet high. I literally could have thrown a rock and hit the object. I would guess the object to have had a wing span of approximately thirty-five feet, and maybe twenty-five feet from front to back. It was very dark in color, black or dark gray. It made no sound or left any trails. There did seem to be a slight ruffle in the wind, kind of hard to explain.

There were no lights except for a slight orange glow that emanated from the front/top area. We were looking straight up at the bottom so we could not see the top at all, but I felt that there was some kind of cockpit that the glow was coming from. The only way that I can think to describe the shape is that it was very similar to an ocean stingray or manta-ray type fish: It was extremely cool looking I must admit.

The tips of the wings seemed to tip downward slightly, and the very center underbelly of the object seemed to curve inward from nose to tail. I want to add that I was left with a feeling that it was in no hurry. It didn't seem to feel any threat. So there we were, standing on the side of the road in complete amazement when suddenly multiple police cars, both marked and un-marked went ripping by.

It seemed to get daylight almost instantly, and the object was just gone. It was headed southeast and must have just gone over the hill to our left. When we arrived home I immediately made a phone call to the sheriff sub-station in that area. I told them what we saw. He told me that the object had flown over the station and that several deputies had taken off after it.

Several days later the front page of the local newspaper (The Press Democrat) told of a UFO that had been seen in the early morning hours crossing over Hwy. 101 south of Santa Rosa. They described it as being shaped like an "X", I believe that it was the same object that we had seen days earlier.

At the time of the sighting, I remember just how amazed we were at what was happening. Now that I'm older, I think that I might react a bit different if this was to happen again. I mean that we were not scared at all, we were so caught up in the moment. But now, it might shake me up a bit. Florida-08-19-The witness was taking his grown son fishing for his birthday. They were heading north on the Indian River, when they saw something unusual-an object as bright as a welders arc. The object only appeared for just a few seconds before disappearing. Witness states that the object was flying 2-3 times the speed of a commercial jet. source: www.mufon.com

Indiana-03-31-06-Some powerful storms were going on on the 31st of March 2006. I went with my friend to Castleton Indiana (a suburb in northern Indianapolis), and followed behind the storm. We were seeing some very neat lightning and decided to pull into a parking lot near the Castleton Square Mall to view the lightning and allow the storm to pass a little more.

Suddenly we saw lights emerge from the clouds and three triangular shaped ships pass overhead very quickly. I got out of the car to look in the direction that the craft had taken, but they had disappeared. I noticed a light pattern on the underside of the craft that matched the triangular shape of the craft. New Mexico-08-22-I was driving west on I-40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The sky was clear, with no clouds. It was about 9:50 AM on 8-22-07. I was just getting to the Coors exit when I looked up in the sky and saw 6 huge objects, all white, all as big as an airplane, 3 on one side and 3 on the other, forming an arrow. One broke away from the pack then went back. I looked down for 2 seconds to get my cell phone to take a picture and looked back and they were gone. I have never seen anything like that. It was like 6 white passenger airplanes flying in an arrow formation. They looked like passenger airplanes without the wings. source: www.mufon.com

Great Britain-08-24- I was standing close to the bedroom window in a northerly direction and a moving object attracted my eye. I looked through the window to see fast traveling objects in a linear formation, speeding across the sky. I called to my fiance downstairs and we both opened the front door and watched as they passed overhead, unable to make out what they could be. They looked like hollow cylinders with a central light.

We had no idea what they were. Amazed and excited, perplexed we were. I went onto the Internet local news to see if any events had taken place and released anything into the sky, but could not find anything. The objects went over the horizon and disappeared. source: www.mufon.com

Zoo Man Killed By Pet Spider

Man who lived in his own 'zoo' of insects was killed by his pet spider.

A man who lived in a house filled with insects & reptiles was found dead in his home after being eaten by his pet black widow spider.

Spider expert and animal cruelty officer Gabi Bayer said he kept creatures “that should never be allowed in a private home”.

She said: “He had spiders so aggressive they are the equivalent of a pit-bull in the animal world.”

Described by police as a cross between a botanical garden and the butterfly breeding ground in the serial killer movie The Silence Of The Lambs... Mark Voegel's apartment was literally crawling with hundreds of insects.

A police spokesman said: “It was like a horror movie. His corpse was over the sofa.

“Giant webs draped him, spiders were all over him. They were coming out of his nose and his mouth.

“There was everything there one could imagine in the world of reptiles.

“Larger pieces of flesh torn off by the lizards were scooped up and taken back to the webs of tarantulas and other bird-eating spiders.

Voegel is thought to have been dead for between seven and 14 days.

Arkansas-07-30-Malvern-At 12:45 AM on a partly cloudy night, witness went outside to enjoy the warm night, full moon, and stars. After about 15 minutes, witness saw to his left, from 30-40 degrees above horizon, a rapidly blinking light. The object was a bit larger than a star, and blinking rapidly. The unknown object moved across the sky to the left, following an erratic path. It seemed to follow the path of a horseshoe, moving in, then out, up and around, and then back down. It then disappeared behind a cloud bank. Across the sky quite a distance away, witness spotted another light, which moved in the same direction as the first UFO had. Finally, it disappeared behind the same cloud as the first object.

California-08-14-07-Visalia-7:30 AM PST-Witness states: My Dad (retired, former military) called me to report a sighting. He was standing outside his home when he looked up and saw a metallic cigar-shaped craft. There was no propeller, no wings, no sound, and no contrail, heading northwest with an approximate altitude of 10,000 ft. He said it was moving fast enough that he did not have time to call my Mom out to see it. He's never reported anything before so I thought I'd let you know.

Florida-08-14-While vacationing in St. Augustine, witness was getting ready to go sea fishing, and out on the deck, spotted a formation of lights which were hovering. It appeared to be made of four green lights. It moved very slowly right to left. Witness watched object for about 10 minutes, at which time it made a circular move in the sky. It then took off, merging into one light, heading east. There were several other planes that night, and witness feels that one of them must have seen the same formation.

Minnesota-08-14-Man received a call from his wife about 9:30 PM. She was driving south on I-35 about 100 miles north of St Paul. She said that she had just seen a green fireball fly across the sky. The husband, along with a friend of his, thought little of it at the time, since she had seen a similar thing a few years back. But then she called again, and said she was looking at what she thought was the red light on top of a cell phone tower but it was way too high. Then three fighter jets flying in formation flew over her. She watched as the red-lighted object flew off to the east, with the jets in pursuit. The two men decided to go outside to see if they could spot what the lady was describing. They saw two red objects streaking across the sky toward each other. They appeared to be heading for a collision, but veered away at the last moment.

England-07-14-Late at night witness was sitting outside with neighbors having a beer, when he noticed to his left a perfectly round object in the sky. The object was of a Terra cotta color, and it was thought at first that it might be a balloon. That theory was dismissed when, after a brief period of time, it was noted that the object moved in a straight line from left to right. The witness called six other friends over, who also saw the anomalous object. The witness estimated the object's altitude at 10,000 feet and its speed at up to 600 MPH. They reported their sighting to the police station at Hounslow, who reported it to Heathrow Air Traffic Control, but nothing was noted on radar.

England-08-12-In the early hours of Sunday, August, 12, witness was sitting in her garden with a cup of coffee, watching shooting stars. The witness says that the objects were remnants of Comet Swift Tuttle. Suddenly, a large object shot across the sky. The object had a faded light appearance, did not leave contrail, made no sound, and had a rolling action to it. The object had appeared from behind her house, and moved in a straight line. She eventually saw five altogether. She has reported her sighting to several professional organizations, but has not yet received an answer.
