There was a heavy concentration of UFO reports from my home state of Texas. Here are a few of the best ones...
10-19-08-Thanks to John Schwab, MUFON, San Antonio, who insisted that I tell my story. To mention this story was not something which I naturally felt comfortable doing. Only after tracking the MUFON site for several days after this event, and noticing the numerous sightings reported the same week including several back around Stephenville, TX, was I persuaded to come forward.
I flew down to San Antonio on an annual business trip Sunday, Oct 19. Arriving at the airport I picked up a rental car and traveled through the city and started southwest in the direction of Eagles Pass for the night. I left the interstate onto Texas Highway 57 toward the Mexican border town.
Soon after leaving the bright lights of the interstate exit, I noticed out of the corner of my eye that a supposed plane was tracking the path of the 2 lane highway. I assumed that it was just a low flying airplane using the road to navigate its course. At the time that I first noticed this craft, it was a solid white glow. The object was tracking my speed until it came upon the first radio tower and it seemed to slow down somewhat before resuming my speed. About this time, I noticed that this supposed plane had no position lights or anti-collision lights.
My attention was further heightened as the craft passed and slowed down for another radio tower and then started to dip in altitude before regaining its previous path. It was at this time that the object started changing shapes and colors at the same time. The object changed from a small white glow into a much larger rectangular object, showing colors of blue and green.
I then entered a series of curves. I noticed that rather that continuing on a straight course, it too had followed me into the curve making up the distance and growing in brightness and intensity. Not only was it glowing now, but it was casting its light on my vehicle. After another curve or two it followed the same pattern of growing much closer and cast its light in my direction. By now I was completely unglued. the object had changed shape again and was now oblong or cigar shaped and had now turned red in color. I continued down the road until I finally came to the town of la Pryor.
I did stop at a convenience store in the middle of town as the craft moved on slightly ahead of me and paused to hover at the western edge of town but still within my sight. I did not know if I had the nerve to continue on, even though I had a guaranteed hotel reservation 40 miles ahead of me in Eagles Pass.
It was too late to cancel my reservation now and I had not passed a hotel since I left the Interstate 40 miles back. Traffic had become less and less frequent on this Sunday evening as everyone must have been home with their families. What the hell was I doing here and why was I being singled out? Do I dare get back on the road and chance an abduction?
I hung out in the convenience store for a few minutes and came out hoping that the object had moved on, but it was still there just outside the few lights in this small town. Was I the only person who had seen this strange object? Why did it not just keep moving?
After waiting outside for a few more minutes, a tour bus pulled over at the same convenience store and parked for a few minutes. I thought that I would just wait until the tour bus pulled out and follow him to the border. If anything strange happened on the next stretch of road, at least there will be witnesses on the bus. About the same time the tour bus was pulling out, an 18 wheeler came through town with 2 cars behind him. As the bus pulled out behind them, I was right on the bus' bumper. There was no way that I was going to let these vehicles out of my sight after this craft had been tracking me for 40 miles.
The object resumed its course as soon as I pulled out of La Pryor. now it was following an 18 wheeler, 2 cars, a tour bus and myself in my rental car. These other drivers were not wasting time, in fact the tour bus passed the 2 cars on this 2 lane highway and I was pleased just to keep them all in sight. Our little convoy went for about 10 miles, until suddenly the craft abandoned its parallel course with the road and took a more southerly route, and took off at a much faster speed. I watched it until it moved out of sight heading for Mexico. I became convinced that I was being singled out for a possible abduction. I am certainly glad that it never came to that. I made the final leg of the trip without any further incident and checked into the holiday inn express in Eagles Pass as planned. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep that night thinking about my trip to this border town.
11-07-08-My fiance and two good buddies of mine were traveling to Houston Motor Sports Park, located off of Beltway 8 and Lockwood Friday night when this event happened. We were all having a good time and talking about what our race car we had just finished would do that night at the track. Then about 5 minutes down Lockwood right after the railroad tracks it happened.
I noticed it first, then the others passengers noticed as well. We were all saying, "What the hell?" A giant green-blue, flashing streak just appeared off to our left in somewhat of a darkened field, and that is what made it so obvious. It was so fast and then it just disappeared. The funny thing this was about 200 feet away from our truck.
Another interesting fact about this occurrence is this streak just appeared and seemed to have a path of about a 45 degree slant. I'd say it started about 70 feet off the ground and continued on its slant and disappeared at about 10 feet off the ground. It was so bright that it stopped us immediately in our tracks.
It was a neat experience and all of us kind of just hung around for a bit hoping to see more of the unexplained. I've always been interested in UFOs, and I'm not sure if we saw one or not but nonetheless it was an exciting moment of confusion for all of us. Things just don't appear and disappear that fast in normal circumstances. This streak of light was amazingly fast.
11-08-08-My sister and I were visiting our parents who live in the country just outside of De Leon, Texas. At about 10:15, she went outside to receive a phone call because her signal was weak inside. When our dad turned off the outside lights, she noticed a lighted object due east just above the tree line. At first she thought it was a plane. She watched it for approximately 30 minutes, then came in to get me.
We took our dad's binoculars and watched the object for at least 30 more minutes. We could see the colors with the naked eye and with the binoculars. It was triangular in shape and was pulsing red, green, blue and white lights. It seemed to turn from time to time changing the order of the lights. It stayed in the same spot, then appeared to get higher slowly and started to drift more south. Then we noticed appearing to our left as we looked east, another one rising over the trees.
It looked just like the same one only appeared to be further away. It also turned from time to time. We then got in my sister's truck and went out to the road and sat looking at them. They appeared to get smaller and then the clouds started to move in and obscured them. We also noticed that, at some times, there was a white light tail following them. The moon was 3/4 full and until the clouds moved in from the southwest we could see the stars. Between us both, we watched them for at least 2 hours.
11-08-08-While traveling south bound on Highway 59 from Nacogdoches to Lufkin, my wife who was driving, noticed a light in the sky above the tree line to the left of the road and ahead of us. It was large-about the size as the oncoming car head lights. It seemed as if it was moving to cross the road in front of us but it never did. It looked as if it moved toward the highway, stopped and hovered above the trees, like it was waiting for us to drive past it. After watching it for about 1 minute, I got our JVC DV recorder and began taping it through the windshield.
The light would go behind trees and emerge as we were driving toward it, going bright then dim, but not in a regular pattern. I taped for about 2 minutes or so until we were passing it to our left. I stopped taping [not following it with the cam as it was going up and out of view in the windshield, thinking it was just a plane). As I was looking at it out the top of the windshield as it was going behind us for a split second.
I could see the triangle shape, lights on the 3 points, white, red, and blue, and a bright white light in the center. I had my wife stop the car off the side of the road and I got out to tape again, and the object was moving up the far side of the Highway 59, to the north, at a high rate of speed away from us, like it was running away.
I was standing with one foot on the door sill and taping over the top of our van. I could see the two colored lights flashing as it went out of sight behind the tree tops. This section of tape shows very little due to the lack of light, but you can see one frame of flashing lights.

Boy Makes Rare Recovery From Rabies
BRASILIA (Reuters) - A 15-year-old boy in Brazil recovered from a normally deadly rabies infection, becoming one of a handful of survivors of the virus worldwide and the first in the country, the health ministry said on Friday.
The teenager, who was bitten by a blood-sucking bat in the northeastern state of Pernambuco, was found to be clear of the virus after more than a month of hospital treatment using a combination of drugs.
The case is one of only three known in which a person survived a confirmed rabies infection, the ministry said in a statement. There are five other cases of people surviving suspected rabies infections, a ministry spokesman said.
The virus -- transmitted by infected animals such as dogs, cats or bats through their saliva when they bite, scratch or lick humans -- causes inflammation of the brain and usually leads to death if left untreated.
The ministry said it was investigating why the teenager was not given a rabies vaccine immediately after he was bitten.
He was treated with a combination of antiviral drugs, sedatives and injectable anesthetics, a procedure called the Milwaukee protocol after the U.S. city where it was first successfully applied in 2004.
Doctors at the Oswaldo Cruz University Hospital in the state capital Recife plan to publish details of the Brazilian case in an international medical journal. They did not rule out some lasting damage to the boy's motor functions.
Brazil hopes to eradicate rabies transmitted to humans by domesticated animals such as cats and dogs by 2010 through a vaccination campaign for pets.
The number of recorded human rabies cases in Latin America's largest country has fallen from 44 in 2005 to nine in 2006 and just one last year.

Couple Pays $200 For "Special" Samosas
NEW DELHI (Reuters) - A Dutch couple on a visit to the eastern Indian state of Bihar paid 10,000 rupees ($204) for four samosas, a spicy deep-fried snack that usually doesn't cost more than a few rupees, a newspaper reported on Monday. After the tourists ate the snacks, a stall owner at the Sonepur cattle fair last week told them his "special" samosas cost more because they were made of herbs and had aphrodisiac qualities, the Hindustan Times said.
After an argument, the couple paid the shopkeeper. But they later complained to a policeman.
Police forced the shopkeeper to return the change -- 9,990 rupees.
UK Government Recruits X-Files Type FBI Agents To Solve UFO Mystery
London, Nov 18 (ANI): With claims of UFO sightings increasing day-by-day, the UK Government has recruited a squad of special FBI agents who will be functioning like Mulder and Scully of the X-Files to investigate the matter.
Leading scientific researchers in Whitehall, puzzled by the growing number of extra-terrestrial activity, contacted a top US agency for the purpose of investigation.
The job of the undercover unit, which will begin its work in a high-tech London lab, will be to analyse the unexplained photography and debris, before they move into the field to obtain explanations of bizarre crop circles.
The public interest in alien life forms began late last year when the Ministry of Defence opened its X-Files to them for the first time since records began in 1967, and it has since been a topic of interest to the public and surprisingly to the House of Lords.
But cynics have stated that revealing the secret files has only put the publics over-active imagination into overdrive.
For a lot of people its just a sci-fi fix, the Sun quoted Georgina Grounded of an unnamed local council as saying.
There are those who think that this Fox Mulder fella cuts a bit if a dash and are just desperate to believe.
But these are credit crunched times. We need people with down-to-Earth attitudes, she said.

Malcolm Robinson, founder of research group Strange Phenomena Investigations, acknowledges the fact that something is going on.

Pennsylvania Hunters make UFO report
Two hunters had entered the woods in Elk County, Pennsylvania at about 4:45 am on 4 October 2008. It had been raining and it was very dark. For lighting they had only a “hat light” and a mini Mag light. As the fellows walked further into the wooded area, they heard the sound of a coyote howl and the two men stopped. A short time later, they heard coyotes howling from various locations all around the woods. It appeared to be three different packs of the animals.
The men had hunted quite often and one of the men said he had never heard so many coyotes howling like that before. At times it was hard for the men to communicate with each other. Suddenly about 150-200 yards ahead on the other side of a field they noticed two very dim glowing lights, the lights were about the size of a baseball and about two feet apart, and estimated to be about 15 feet above the ground. They glowed, “like the indigo colour of a watch.”
The two men thought the lights were odd, but considered that maybe there were some hunters ahead. The men shut off their lights. As they walked forward, in the distance toward where they saw the first glowing lights, they now observed what looked like a flashing beam flashing back and forth between the tree line. They did not think this was odd, since it was archery season, and there was the possibility that other hunters were in the area.
Within minutes of seeing the single light beam, about 10 individual white beams of light suddenly appeared. These light beams which “flashed around” seemed to originate from one point, and were not moving around as if being carried by someone. The beams appeared to be about 10 feet above the ground, and projected parallel with the ground, and extended straight out from the originating location. One of the men asked out loud, “how many are there?” It seemed odd to the two hunters that these lights did not seem to be trying to find a path through the woods. The men were confused as to what they were seeing. Their attention was then drawn to a glowing figure, moving from the area of the beams of light. “It seemed as though one light beam led it to the field.”
The glowing human-like form moved about 20 feet out into a grass field. The grass in the area was about 6 inches tall. The other beams of light suddenly went out. One of the men described the being as similar to “a silhouette of a person just glowing, completely glowing.” The man said the best way to describe what they saw was if someone took glow in the dark paint and rubbed it on a person’s body.
The being was estimated to be about three feet tall, the head may have been a little larger than a human, and the upper part of the body seemed to lean forward. The arms appeared to hang straight down, and were longer than that of a human. The legs were hard to see, as the glow was blocking out the shape. The colour of the glow was described as a light green, lime colour.
The being seemed to be moving at twice the speed of the two men, who were walking fast. It actually gave the impression that it was gliding, and no sound was heard. One of the men recalled that he was becoming quite shook up during the incident, and he began to whistle out loud. Moments later, the being, which had been moving steadily, just “stopped on a dime.” It remained motionless for about 30 seconds. It then moved about 20 feet into the field, “then suddenly just vanished.” It disappeared in front of their eyes, and was not seen again.
Within about two minutes after the being disappeared, all of the coyotes in the area suddenly stopped howling. The entire incident lasted a total of about five minutes. The men went back to the location later that day and looked around for any traces where they had seen the lights and the mysterious being, but nothing was found. This incident occurred amongst a series of other UFO reports which have been ongoing across Pennsylvania in recent weeks.

Recent UFO Sightings Reports for November 13, 2008
I apologize for not updating this blog for quite some time, but we had a recent death in the family and I'm just now getting back to my normal blogging routine.

my name is michael and im in santa cruz ca, it is oct 22 2:00am and i saw a crazy lokking star in the south west sky. it appeared to be moveing along with the flow of the other stars as the night moves on. the star appers to look just like a flashing LED light changeing colors. my telescope is broken thanks to my little bros, all i have on me is a small sighting peace for the tele scope. i lokked at the star through that but i still cant tell what it is. if you get this mesage sonn enough check it out for me. um also let me know if any one else reported any thing like this. thanx mike.

05.31am westbound on a45 on higham rd ,bright light .(od) 3.5ft about 400-600ft lite up ,out of know where .no noise.travels,about one mile in a second .lights went out ...but not a single noise then 05.37 alot of what i can only write as extreme aircraft activity,military, i believe too be awcs.

First, I never thought I would ever see such an event, let alone report one.And this is from blondellt:
I live in Park Rapids, Minnesota, 50 miles south of Bemidji. I am an amateur Astronomer and have spent 1000's of hours observing the skies. Last evening August 30, 2008 at approx. 3:35 A.M. while observing the Orion Constellation in the south eastern sky, my eye was distracted by a object moving at a low rate of speed toward the eastern skies. I estimate that this object was not more than 1/2 mile from my position. I though it might be military aircraft flying in formation. But, there was no sound the anterior end had what seem to be 6-7 large Red lights non-blinking. I estimate the size which is hard to determine at night to be about the size of a Football field. I just sat there in awe, I grabbed my binoculars and was able to see the back end of this object and it's large round red lights for not more than 3 seconds. It then was out of sight as it flew over a large grouping of Pine Trees on the back part of my property. The next morning I call the Sheriffs Dept. in Town, no other Reports. I cannot believe I could be the only one that saw this object. I will wait a gather any other Reports in the comming days. Did I really see a Craft from other than this Earth who Knows, but it will always remain in my memories. Very, very bizarre.
I too saw something strange in the Eastern sky one night in August. There were 2 round objects hovering in the sky with flashing red and white lights. They hovered for at least an hour. At first I thought they were stars, but the longer I watched the more I realized there was a pattern to their "twinkling". I looked through my binoculars and could see the flashing lights a little better, but they were so bright that I couldn't make out the shape of the craft they were attached to. Tonight, 9-4-08, I see 3 "stars" in the northern sky that "twinkle" red and white and are in V formation. At times these lights seem to change places, but mostly they are hovering. If anyone else sees this or knows what they are please fill me in.That catches us up on the UFO reports that were sent in to Anomaly Blog. Have you seen a UFO? Report it HERE!
