Space Aliens and UFOs Galore

Want to be abducted by space aliens?

Well, it might just be possible pretty soon! Perhaps by 2010.

An alien/UFO themed amusement park is in the planning stages in (can you guess???) Roswell, New Mexico. One of the rides will be the “world’s first alien abduction experience”. A roller coaster will take you through a midwest house where suddenly a green light will suck you up into an alien spaceship. Read more about the UFO park here.

Meanwhile, until the UFO park is built, there’s still plenty of alieny things to see around Roswell, New Mexico. This July 5-8, take in the UFO Festival when Roswell celebrates the 60th anniversary of the famous Roswell Incident.

In early July, 1947, a mysterious object crashed on a ranch about 30 miles north of Roswell. At first, the Roswell Army Air Field claimed to have recovered pieces of a “flying disc”. The next day – oooops, it wasn’t a flying disc, it was a weather balloon. Books, theories, movies abound centered around the controversy of that revised statement. Was there really a flying saucer crash? Did the government hide the alien bodies found at the crash, which were of course dissected? What really happened?

During The Amazing Roswell UFO Festival you can visit alien attractions and attend lectures and book signings. You can also help uncover the truth about one of the most infamous cover-ups in history. For more information about the UFO Festival visit http://www.roswellufofestival.com/

And whether or not there really was a “flying disc” crash, Roswell has definitely embraced the alien theme. The International UFO Museum and Research Center is Roswell’s biggest tourist attraction. Started by two men involved in the Roswell Incident, it has grown to include other phenomena like crop circles, sightings, Area 51, ancient astronauts and abductions.

In downtown Roswell, McDonald’s is shaped like an alien spaceship.

The Wal-Mart on the north side of Roswell on US 285 is alien oriented.

UFOs are crashed into buildings and space aliens sprout up in all sorts of places. Gift shops sell alien this and alien that. Aliens took over an old Denny’s and it is now the Roswell Coverup CafĂ©.

Aliens left their green footprints behind and even the streetlights support the alien theme.

And during the UFO Festival this July you can expect to see even more aliens!
